Alexa Bakony (she/her) graduated from the Budapest University of Theater and Film Arts as a film director. Her debut documentary, Colors of Tobi, was supported by the Sundance Institute and the Hungarian National Film Institute, won a Development Award from HBO Europe as well as the Mermaid Award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival in 2021, the Premio Maguey at the Guadalajara Film Festival in 2021, and the Hungarian Film Critics Award in 2022.
