Tania El Khoury (she/her) studied filmmaking and psychology in Beirut, then moved to Paris in 2002. In 2017, she founded the production company Khamsin Films to develop projects in the Arab region. In 2020, she founded the Paris-based production company Les Films de l’Altaï to produce international projects including The River by Ghassan Salhab and Machtat by Sonia Ben Slama. In 2022, she received funding from the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity x AFAC for the film Manity by Hussen Ibraheem.
