
Sandra Luz López Barroso (she/her) is an anthropologist and filmmaker who graduated from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC Film School) in Mexico. Her short film Artemio premiered in the Sheffield DocFest 2017, where she won the New Talent Award. Her debut documentary feature The one amongst the shadows, funded by Tribeca Film Institute, Sundance Documentary Fund, and Ambulante / W.K. Kellogg Foundation, won Best Film at the FICUNAM (UNAM International Film Festival) 2021. She has collaborated as Cinematographer and Editor with directors Tania Herández Velasco, Dinazar Urbina Mata, and Xóchitl Enríquez Mendoza.
