Oksana Karpovych (she/her) is a documentary filmmaker whose work investigates how war, state power, and private life intersect in moments of extreme political rupture. Her latest film, Intercepted, is constructed from recorded phone calls of Russian soldiers and stark images of Ukraine during the full-scale invasion. The film premiered at the Berlinale, where it won the Ecumenical Jury Prize, and went on to win international acclaim, including Best Direction at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival and a nomination for the 2024 Gotham Awards.
