Gabriela Pena (she/her) is a filmmaker, producer, editor, and half of a creative duo with Picho García, with whom she cofounded Grieta Cine, a production company based between Valparaíso (Chile) and Barcelona (Spain). The two are Sundance Institute Fellows and their work has been supported by Chicken & Egg Films. Their feature documentary Where the Silence is Heard premiered in 2026 in the CPH:DOX Next:Wave Award Competition and in the FICG Documentary Iberoamerican Competition. Their hybrid short film Familia 💖💎 premiered at the 2024 True/False Film Festival and screened at CIFF, among others. It received Best Short Film at SANFIC.
