Director
Cherine Karam (she/her) worked for more than a decade in cultural production in Beirut before transitioning to filmmaking. Her feature film-in-progress, Dépôt-Vente, won the Malmö Arab Film Festival Pitching Competition and a scholarship at Thessaloniki Film Festival. Cherine is an alum of the Close Up Initiative where she received the IEFTA award. More recently, she was awarded the Real Screen award at Middle East Now and directed the documentary short Yellow is the Color of Happiness.
Cherine Karam is the director and producer of 2025 (Egg)celerator Lab film Dépôt-Vente.
