Carmen Castillo (she/her) is a Chilean filmmaker who lived through Pinochet's dictatorship and played an active role in the resistance. Her partner, MIR leader Miguel Enríquez, was killed by the regime beside her; she was pregnant, and badly wounded in the same attack, an experience intimately captured in her 2007 documentary Rue Santa Fe. Her works illuminate Chile's complex history and the human cost of the dictatorship.
