Anabel (she/her) is a filmmaker and Zen practitioner. After having gone through the collapse of her home country, Venezuela, and spending decades trying to understand its vulnerability, she came to understand that the open wounds of colonization are still bleeding her country by the culture of extractivism. Her mission as a storyteller is to tell intimate stories from the inside, from the perspective of “us,” the people who are going through the consequences of this extractivism.
