Ali Grant (she/her) is a lesbian filmmaker based in Vancouver, Canada. At 53, she went back to school to learn documentary filmmaking and is passionate about stories of the extraordinary lives of ordinary women. Her docs have shown nationally and internationally, including at the Uppsala Short Film Festival and the Vancouver International Film Festival. She has a PhD in Geography, awards from Canada Council for the Arts and BC Arts Council, and has received funding from Creative BC and TELUS originals.
