Inna Sahakyan (she/her) is an Armenian documentary director and producer dividing her time between the U.S. and her homeland. Her films explore forgotten narratives and humanity’s essence. Notable works include The Last Tightrope Dancer in Armenia and Mel. Her recent animated documentary Aurora’s Sunrise garnered critical acclaim, winning multiple awards including the Asia Pacific Screen Awards for Best Animated Film, Movies that Matter Audience Award, and the Grand Prix at FIFDH in Geneva.
