What are US sanctions and how do they affect Chicken & Egg Films?
Chicken & Egg Films is legally required to comply with sanctions laws and regulations, and therefore is not able to engage in financial transactions (i.e. grant disbursements) with any person/entity in any country/region that is the subject of current comprehensive sanctions administered by the US Government.
The US federal government maintains comprehensive sanctions against the following countries/regions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic, and Luhansk People’s Republic. Comprehensive sanctions prohibit individuals or entities in the US from participating in transactions, collaborations, and activities with individuals and entities based in the sanctioned countries/regions, including through third parties.
Please write to us at info@chickeneggfilms.org to check eligibility for our grants/programs if:
You live in or are originally from one of these sanctioned countries/regions.
You are making a film taking place in one of these sanctioned countries/regions.
In any case, Chicken & Egg Films will not disburse any grants until confirming that doing so would not violate US sanctions and regulations. No grant funds can be directly or indirectly sent to or used in the sanctioned countries.
