Torstein Grude Ruwê Yuxinawá is a Norwegian producer, writer, director, and cinematographer. Torstein owns and runs one of Norway’s most prominent documentary production companies, Piraya Film AS, and its subsidiaries Hinterland AS (visual post production) and Kudos Family Distribution AS. Documentary films with Grude’s involvement include: An Inward Path (Millenium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival, 2024), Farming the Revolution (Winner, HotDocs 2024), 5 Seasons of Revolution (Sundance 2023), and many others. Together, these films have received more than 200 awards, mentions, and nominations, including two Oscar nominations, an Emmy Award, an Asia Pacific Screen Award, and a European Academy Award. Torstein was co-awarded the 2019 Freedom of Expression Foundation’s Tribute as well as the 2016 Film Person of the Year award in Rogaland County.

Torstein Grude is the producer of 2025 (Egg)celerator Lab Finalist film Autumn of the Patriarch.
