Paola Castillo Villagrán (she/her) is the founder of Errante, one of the foremost documentary production companies in Chile. Her work addresses issues in social, indigenous, and human rights, as well as gender and art. As a producer, her filmography includes Allende, mi abuelo Allende, directed by Marcia Tambutti Allende, which won Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival 2015. As a director, Paola’s documentaries include Frontera, Genoveva, and 74m2. She is also Executive Director of CCDoc and Deputy Director of Chiledoc, organizations that enhance the visibility of Chilean documentaries.
