Nicolás Acuña (he/him) is a prominent Chilean director and producer known for his work in film and television. With a career spanning more than two decades, Acuña has directed successful productions such as Los Archivos del Cardenal and Sitiados, both of which have been acclaimed for their narrative quality and impact on the Latin American audiovisual landscape. He also directed Los Mil Días de Allende, a series that portrays the last years of Salvador Allende's presidency and that earned him wide recognition in Chile and internationally. His ability to address historical and social issues with great sensitivity has consolidated him as one of the most influential voices on Chilean television. Throughout his career, Acuña has worked on projects that combine historical rigor with powerful visual storytelling, and has collaborated with various international platforms and channels.
