2020 Chicken & Egg Award Recipient

Maite Alberdi (she/her) is a Chilean director and producer, twice nominated for the Academy Awards®, whose intimate and distinctive storytelling has made her a leading voice in contemporary documentary cinema. Her films include The Mole Agent (2020) and The Eternal Memory (2023), both of which premiered at Sundance; the latter won the World Cinema Documentary Grand Jury Prize. Alberdi has received the DOC NYC Visionaries Tribute and the Sundance Vanguard Award, and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
