Luchina Fisher (she/her) is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and educator who has directed several award-winning documentaries, including The Dads (Netflix), which won the 2024 Daytime Emmy Award; Mama Gloria (PBS), nominated for a 2022 GLAAD Media Award; and Team Dream, executive produced by Queen Latifah. Her latest feature, The Dads, a follow-up to the Emmy-winning short, premiered at SXSW in 2026. Luchina began her career as a journalist and is a North Carolina Media and Journalism Hall of Fame inductee. She sits on the board of New York Women in Film and Television and teaches documentary film at Wesleyan University.
