Habiba Nosheen (she/her) is a Peabody and three-time Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist and filmmaker. Her film Outlawed in Pakistan premiered at Sundance, where it was called “among the standouts” of the festival by The Los Angeles Times. She is the creator and host of the series Conviction: The Disappearance of Nuseiba Hasan with Gimlet Media and Spotify Studios, which was named one of the best podcasts of 2022 by The Guardian. Her films have been supported by FRONTLINE, JustFilms, Firelight Media, ITVS, and CBC, among others. Previously, she was named to DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40. In 2024, she was named the Newsday/Laventhol Visiting Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she taught documentary filmmaking.
