Frank van den Engel (he/him) started the independent documentary production company Zeppers Film & TV in 1997. He has produced almost two hundred films, as well as theatre and television. Highlights include André Hazes – She Believes in Me (dir. John Appel, Opening Film IDFA 1999), Dans, Grozny Dans (dir. Jos de Putter, 2002), Voices of Bam (dir. Aliona van der Horst, Grand Jury Award Tribeca 2006), Stranger in Paradise (dir. Guido Hendrikx, Opening Film IDFA 2016), and Love is Potatoes (dir. Aliona van der Horst, Golden Calf 2018). He directed the films Normaal – I Always Come Back (2002), Between Heaven and Earth (2007), and Photo & Copyright by G.P. Fieret (2009), which was nominated for Best Dutch Documentary at the Netherlands Film Festival.
