Emily Mkrtichian (she/her) is a filmmaker, multimedia artist, and interdisciplinary creative collaborator. Her work is influenced by her displaced, diasporic upbringing. She explores radically personal, alternative archives of places and people from the SWANA region and emphasizes ethical, relational storytelling. Her work has been supported by Sundance, Chicken & Egg Pictures, IDA, Torino Film Lab, Locarno Open Doors, and the Yerevan Institute of Contemporary Art. She splits her time between the US and Armenia.
