Deirdre Fishel is a writer/director of documentaries and dramas. Her dramatic feature Risk premiered in competition at Sundance, aired on the Sundance channel and was broadcast worldwide. Her feature documentary Still Doing It: The Intimate Lives of Women Over 65 premiered at SXSW, was broadcast in fifteen countries and expanded into a book co-written with Diana Holtzberg. Recent projects include a web documentary Suicide on Campus, produced with The New York Times Magazine and a transmedia project, The Boy Game. Deirdre graduated from Brown and has an MFA from Hunter College. She is on the faculty of the New School.
