Amit Madheshiya (he/him) is a Cannes and World Press Photo award-winning Indian documentary filmmaker. He has directed, filmed and edited The Cinema Travellers (Official Selection, Cannes 2016), Searching for Saraswati (The New York Times, 2018), The Hour of Lynching (The Guardian, 2019), and The Hour of Lynching (The Guardian, upcoming), along with Shirley Abraham. His work has won numerous international honors and fellowships including the President’s Medal in India. Amit is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
