Alina Simone (she/her) is an award-winning filmmaker and author whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR, and The Atlantic. For seven years, Simone was a regular contributor to the news radio show The World. In 2024, she received the F:ACT Award for best investigative documentary at CPH:DOX and the Sustainable Future Award at the Sydney Film Festival for her debut documentary, Black Snow. She is the recipient of an NYSCA/NYFA fellowship in film.
