A woman and her adult son stand closely together indoors, smiling warmly at the camera. The older woman on the left has short brown hair and wears a black outfit with a patterned scarf. A person beside her has short curly hair and rests her hand affectionately on the older woman's shoulder. On the wall to their right hangs a framed portrait of what appears to be the same two individuals years earlier—an adult woman with short dark hair and a little girl wearing a white dress and a flower crown, posed together.

Anna Stylinska

Raised in a Catholic Polish family, Anu today lives a double life: publicly, he is an out trans man, but at home he still performs the role of “Anna,” the daughter his parents believe they know. When he finally gathers the courage to come out, long-buried tensions surface, revealing a family trapped in roles they never chose—an exhausted mother, a patriarchal father, a brother burdened by debt, and another brother longing for independence despite disability. As Anu documents their lives, each family member begins a quiet transformation, proving that real change comes from fighting for one another, even when it’s complicated.

Home Movie is a 2026 (Egg)celerator Lab film.
