Samyu (she/her) is a Program Intern at Chicken & Egg Films, supporting application review for the Research & Development Grant and (Egg)celerator Lab, as well as application data management. She also works at Hard Working Movies, contributing to the development and production of new projects.

Samyu holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Journalism from NYU and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Statistics from UC Santa Barbara. She is currently working on her first short documentary about a dance-theater artist in rural Southern India, and enjoys photography and learning her mother tongue, Tamil.
